Dad Heubusch,

It was great to see you the other night! I forgot to mention when I was there that on Saturday (June 10th), I took part in the Relay for Life benefitting the American Cancer Society.

The relay took place at the running track and George Mason University. It's a 24-hour event that benefits the Society. This was my third year participating in the event. At the relay they have a tradition at sunset where lit candles are placed around the track in paper bags, they also spell out the word "HOPE" with the bagged candles in the bleachers that overlook the track. You can purchase bags for those you love who are survivors/fighters, etc. I made several purchases, and one of which was my "SURVIVORS & FIGHTERS" candle in which your name was placed with Keith and my best friend Ellen.

Keep fighting and never lose hope!

HI CHUCK!
So glad to hear you'll be doing outpatient, and be able to get away from the hospital stay. MaryAnn probably told you that Lindsey and I will be in DC in July (lindsey'll be at a conference), so I'll be dropping by to visit you!! I'm SOOOO looking forward to seeing you and Mary Ann, and the rest of the troops!! If you have any requests for Buffalo items you'd like me to bring (sponge candy?), just let me know via email! I'll have room in my suitcase for whatever you want! Sending lots of love and prayers and hugs your way.

Chuck and Mary Ann: As you know, we are back from keeping the international economy afloat, and trying to get our sleep patterns back to normal, whatever that is? Anyway, had a great time last night at dinner where Sally and Bob Ubelacker; Fred and Marilyn Miller; Hunt and Ann Look; Brian and Sharon Mulrey; and Bob and Donna Collins broke bread, enjoyed liquid nourishment, and told "war stories". Most important we all sent our most "positive vibes" your way as Round 3 begins.....hang tough Ranger!!! Talk to you soon, Hugs to all....Jay and ML

Chuck,
Wonderful news about the 'outpatient mode'! Being able,on a daily basis, to enjoy all the comforts of your home will do so much to boost your recovery. Look forward to reading more about your progress.
Maureen sends her love as I do to Mary Ann.

P.S Hope you enjoyed the recent video message Mike and I 'cobbled together' the other Sunday after a rather liquid lunch!

Chuck,
Sending you best wishes for Round 3! What a relief it must be to call yourself an outpatient now after that extended-stay for Round 2!
You and Mary-Ann hug each other for me
Much love, Lisa

Hello All, Just got back from the northern NM mtns, camping and fishing. Nice break from the heat. So, it's Round Three eh? We know it's an ordeal, but rewarded by progress. Hang in there. We'll be at a baseball game tonight with the Prescotts before they head to Canada for the rest of the summer. Will see them again with the rest of the old SPOL crowd at dinner on Saturday. Will tell them you said "yo". We'll keep our thoughts and prayers with you. Kinda like Chuck's Kojak look. Love to All.

Howdy, Chuck. I dreamt about you and MA last night - it was very very nice to see you in my dreams - thanks for the visit . Healing thoughts and prayers with your names on them are issued daily, and apparently dreams have entered the picture now too! Big kisses all around. Love, Rene.
