lately. Enjoyed
reading the family

All the best,
friend. Remembering
our service
together in the

| Hello Dad
Heubusch!
Just a quick note
to let you know I'm
thinking of you.
As I'm sure you're
aware, Krista is
leading a strong
team up to Montreal
a week from
tomorrow for the
24-hour relay, but
when I get back...I
would love to pay
another visit.
Talk to you
soon...keep smiling

Wed Jul 05, 2006 12:11:07 Eileen and Wayne Herr
| Hi Chuck, Wayne
and I were
reviewing the
website to check on
your progress. You
look as good as you
sounded on the
phone last week.
However, Wayne
thinks you might
need some Buffalo
Sabres sporting
gear to
"compete"
with the
"Canes"
logos we're seeing.
Something might
have to be done
about this
"situation&quo
t; when we visit
you in August! Get
ready for Wayne's
"Riley Michael
O'Hara"
stories!
Seriously, you and
your incredibly
inspirational
family continue to
be in our daily
thoughts and
prayers. Love to
all, Eileen |

Mike and I
celebrated our

~~ We leave Austin
on Sat. morning for
Va. and will arrive
on the evening of
the 10th. The walk
through is on the
11th and closing on
the 17th. We'll be
calling you at some
point next week and
will be so happy to
see you again.
You're knocking out
the treatments and
doing so well. It's
wonderful that you
have been to the
theater and out and
about. We are
praying for you day
and night and we
love you to pieces.
Please give Maryann
a kiss for us. ~~
Thanks Krista and
Steve, for this
wonderful way to
keep in touch and
informed.

| Hi, Heubusches!
Happy anniversary,
Mary Ann and Chuck!
June 30 was Jon and
Annie's 5th
anniversary and
Jenifer and Jeff's
6 month
anniversary. Annie
is due August 24,
but is measuring 2
weeks early, so who
knows? Dave is
deployed again and
when Allison and
the kids came by
for dinner on
Thursday, she
announced they are
expecting again -
in March. They were
trying to avoid the
December-January
winter timeframe.
Maybe we'll connect
with Spring Break.
So we are very
excited about more
grandchildren - by
March it will be 6
with the oldest 5
years old. Sounds
like things are
going well for
you,Chuck. You
continue to be in
our prayers. Hope
things continue to
progress well. Don
is finally (after 8
1/2 weeks) off
crutches and in
regular shoes.
Yeah! He dug out
his old Army boots
for wearing around
home - they give
him support.
Everyone in church
this am was so
pleased to see him
improving- it was
touching! He starts
physical therapy on
Wed and that will
improve things
further. The
swelling is still
an issue, but
getting better.The
summer is flying
by- we've had
several visits from
kids - Matthew and
his girlfriend,
Lauren, a KC135
pilot with the
Alabama National
Guard, are in town
this weekend, but
at Lake of the
Ozarks till
tomorrow. Don
didn't feel up to
that trip. I
interviewed for a
new job and was
hired, so am
spending some time
training for that.
I'll be in the
middle school
working with
at-risk students on
reading and serving
as literacy coach
to other teachers
to help them with
these students'
reading. I'm very
excited, but since
it's a new
position, still
finding my way as
the job evolves.
Well, I just saw
Don drive his car
across the yard to
the barn - a new
tactic he figured
out so he can be
mobile. He melted
one of his crutches
on the mower once
he learned he could
get going this way.
So, better go and
see what stunt he
has planned for
tonight. God bless
you - love to all,
Susan and Don |
