| While I did not
know Chuch
personally, he was
still in our
beloved family of
USAF Cops. When we
loose one of our
own regardless of
direct friendship
of a personal basis
or of a kinship of
service and
devotion of duty it
is indeed a tragic
loss. May my
families thoughts
and prayers go out
to yours.

| Having been out of
the loop, I was
unaware of Chuck's
illness or passing
until I received
Rich Clowers note
to all the
Safesiders. My
association and
remembrances of Lt.
Heubusch were
limited but I do
remember him as a
fine young officer
that was dedicated
to making the
members of the
1041st a well
trained viable arm
of a new breed of
Security Forces. I
am saddened at his
passing but I see
by reading his many
comments on your
web site that his
given you all
strength to go on.
God is fortunate to
have a warrior of
his caliber on His
staff. |

Krista, Steve,
Paula and Tante
Lou,
we are deeply
saddened to hear
about Chuck. We
were all behind the
scenes following
his battle with
great respect. He
will be missed by
all of us and
remembered with
great affection.
You and your family
are in our
thoughts.
With Love..

| I am deeply
saddened to hear of
Chuck's passing.
He was the
consummate
professional
soldier who was
very much respected
by the officers and
enlisted of the
1041st. As he, and
those other
comrades of ours
who have preceded
us on that final
patrol, I have no
doubt that Chuck
will greet us at
the Pearly Gates,
stop watch in hand,
and say "Gut
it out...you've
only got another
mile to
go!"

| It was a great
disappontment to
hear about
Chuck. Having
served with him in
the 1041st
it was indeed one
of the most
pleasant
experiences I ever
had in my Military
Career.
He was a great
officer and a
gentleman who
will always be
remebered by the
best bunch of
troops the Air
Force will ever
have seen
He is now with the
"BIG
RANGER". God
Bless
you and your
family. |

| I meet Lt Heubusch
in 1966 in Hawaii
when as a young
airman, I was
assigned to the
1041st Strike Force
(Combat Security
Police Squadron
(T). I remember
seeing this stocky
guy who seemed as
wide as he was tall
and thinking to
myself, this is one
mean dude and not
to be messed with.
Turned out he was
one tough guy who
was always up front
leading by example
and I was proud to
know him. God Speed
Sir as you join
twenty-seven other
1041st
Brothers-in-Arms.
Best wishes to your
family and hoping
you all will find
comfort in knowing
The Colonel had a
positive influence
on so many lives.

| Dear Mary Ann and
Family -
We were out of town
last week and just
got the sad news.
We are so glad that
we had the chance
to get to know you
and Chuck. You are
both such wonderful
people and
neighbors. He'll
be missed, but
remembered fondly.
Our family will do
anything we can to
help you in any way
or at any time.
Please don't
hesitate to ask.
And even if you
don't ask, we might
just sneak over
anyway! You and
your family are in
our thoughts and
prayers.
Love,
Steve, Libby,

| Dear Mary Ann and
family,
Our heartfelt
prayers and
sympathy go out to
you. Although it's
been years since
Ramstein, Chuck
remained a strong
influence in my
faith life. He was
the Rector on my
first team, and set
the standard for me
and all the other
Rectors that
followed. I have
been privileged to
be a Rector twice,
and each time right
before we met the
candidates on
Thursday night, I’d
gather the team and
repeat the advice
that Chuck gave us
in our chapel at
Kransburg Castle :
“Our team has
become almost
closer than family,
now it’s time to
open that family to
the men that the
Holy Spirit has
sent us”.
Of course I also
remember how
understanding he
was when he was
doing Palanca in
the chapel
(kneeling on the
stone floor) and my
talk ran more than
a half hour over
time.
Meg also remembers
with fondness his
wry comments on her
short-lived career
as a terrorist at
Bitburg!
God Bless and we’ll
see you in
October.
